At any given time hundreds of children and teens are fighting cancer.

This holiday season, join Gold Rush Cure as we go to great lengths to reach more young heroes. Give one-time or monthly to help us reach our goals.

MEET KATIE - PAST POT OF GOLD RECIPIENT HONORED HERO

This holiday season, Katie is getting chemo after her cancer returned for a 5th time...

Katie’s cancer returned a fifth time late June 2019. The scans showed a tumor in both her lung and right shoulder. Surgery was scheduled to remove the centimeter sized tumor a few weeks after this devastating news. Fortunately the surgeon was able to remove the cancer with minimal invasion.

Katie is in treatment. Now we wait, trust and pray. Scans will most likely be scheduled mid December. If Katie is NED (No Evidence of Disease) - she will pack her bags and head back to Baylor! Katie was a Pot of Gold recipient years ago and she has our full support to this day.

AUBRIELLA

AUBRIELLA

We met this lovely hero at her favorite place to get steak - yes you heard that right. She loves steak. She got a surprise Pot of Gold experience with a ride-on car, mickey mouse gifts, and play kitchen. Aubriella is so brave and we want to honor her courageous spirit this holiday season.

MIKAH

Mikah has bravely battled B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia for a while now, and his treatment will go until 2021. He is courageous and kind. Mikah and his siblings had fun opening lots in his Pot of Gold. His favorite was the Rhino Blast Nerf gun. He got the cutest smile when he opened his CD player (so he can listen to his books on CD). The whole family was thrilled with all of the pool toys, and tickets for LEGOLAND.

ANNIKA

ANNIKA

Annika has been treated in Utah and New York City. Annika is so amazing! She is a huge fairy-fan. She has an fairy garden in her backyard that she got new houses for it in her Pot of Gold. Annika is also thrilled with camping. She even showed us how to make a band-aid in the forest with a leaf! Annika's sister Lily was also very excited about the gifts we got her and she is such a great sister to her.

TRAVIS

Travis battled medulloblastoma in 2013 and had been living cancer free until January of this year when he was diagnosed with CML. I met Travis (16 at the time) and his parents at his favorite restaurant, Habit Burger, in February 2019. We enjoyed dinner while he opened his Pot of Gold. He loved his new watch, camping knife, Bluetooth ear buds and gold chain. Travis was a joy to get to know. He shared his love of nature and many stories of his outdoor adventures.
