our impact
We’re a direct-action foundation: we don’t grant to other nonprofits — we reach kids, siblings, and families directly. Until there’s a cure, we RUSH.
Our programs are designed to be lean and far-reaching, so more of every gift goes to work. From a Pot of Gold delivered to a young hero fighting cancer, to advocacy on Capitol Hill, to a coalition of hundreds of organizations, each one is built to stretch your generosity as far as it can go.
That efficiency is what makes our programs so powerful, and it’s why we can reach families ourselves rather than passing dollars through layers of intermediaries. The result is real, measurable impact, 1,720 children across 42 states, and counting.
From a box of joy delivered to a hospital bedside, to the halls of Congress, to a coalition hundreds of organizations strong — our work meets children and families wherever they are.
Each Pot of Gold is a personalized delivery of gifts, comfort, and pure celebration. Pot of Gold volunteers hand-deliver to a child in treatment, with their siblings cheered on too. It’s a moment to feel like a kid again instead of a patient.

Behind every gold heart on that map is a brave young warrior and a family who felt, for a moment, that they were not fighting alone.
Advocacy & awareness
A Pot of Gold changes one child’s day. Advocacy changes the system every child depends on. So we carry these families’ fight from the hospital hallway all the way to the halls of Congress.
When Congress writes the budget for childhood cancer research, our families need someone in the room. Co-Founder & President Sandy Barker sits across from lawmakers to put names, faces, and hospital-hallway realities behind every funding decision.

No single foundation can move this fight by itself. Through our membership in CAC2, the Coalition Against Childhood Cancer, we link arms with organizations nationwide so effort is shared, not duplicated.
